Rossington Hall Wedding : Sally + Stephen
“We are completely blown away by the pics you have captured. I’ll not lie, there has been a tear or two shed whilst watching the video. (Which we might have watched on repeat a fair few times already!) It has been an absolute joy to relive the day through all the moments you have captured for us – we can’t thank you enough.”
Back in the warmer times of last summer, I headed over to Yorkshire to document Sally and Stephen’s Rossington Hall wedding. A day I had been looking forward to for some time, I knew it was going to be a good one after capturing Stephen’s sister’s wedding (Lauren and Ric) back in 2013!
There was so much going on all day, games and activities galore for the kids, and sunshine and food for the adults. I was in my element capturing all the little moments of the day and of course the big moments in between.
I’ve included a favourite image of Sally and Stephen’s in the shots below. Taken after the wedding breakfast, they are sitting together, enjoying the sunshine and reflecting on the day. It’s totally un-staged. Noticing them heading for a stroll in the gardens of Rossington Hall, I was sure to keep an eye on them and capture this natural moment from a distance. When they sat in perfect light in the centre of a beautiful stone bench, I knew this was the shot to be had. I headed a bit closer to capture it. Shortly after we did get a few “posed shots” in the gardens, but its natural moments like this I love to provide.
Sally and Stephen are such an amazing couple, it was a absolute pleasure to capture their day and catch up with the family. Some of my favourite storytelling images below…
