My 2016

I can’t believe it’s that time again, every year seems to whizz past with increasing speed. Taking pictures continues to be my effort in slowing down time, and if not successful in this, then to at least allow me to look back and reflect, and to stir-up the emotions again. My little man Noah turned 2 in March, and is a proper little human now! Always inspirational, he has such a sense of adventure, forever inquisitive and always looking at the world with fresh eyes.  I  harness his influence whenever I shoot, but particularly when focussing on my street photography, this year venturing to Thailand in April and Barcelona with the 8street later in the year, and also for when I photographed the epic ninedots gathering in London. Between all of this I shot so many amazing weddings, all over the UK and further afield in warmer climates.

As a new year begins, I really enjoy looking back at all of my 2016 weddings and putting together this little blog post with a selection of my favourites. As always I must send a huge thank you to each and every couple that asked me to be a part of their day. It’s a genuine pleasure to be involved so intimately and to share in the joy of such a special day. Couples book me to capture story of their day; the people, what they did, how they did it, the fun everyone had. My ambition is for them to remember exactly what their day was like, to revive special moments, forever capture those hidden glances and to record those moments they weren’t even aware of. Enabling them, and future generations, to relive the day, and the emotions, again and again. Hence this is not a blog post filled with couples as small figures in the distance, or posed in golden light, but a collection of moments that encapsulate how I approach the wedding day. Not a single staged moment. Just love, laughter, fun and a whole lot of partying.

  1. What an absolute class selection of just ‘pure raw’ and ‘real’ wedding frames throughout – just ridiculously good and I love the fact you have no fear on maxing out the ISO ranges when needed and still pull off sublime shots!!

Big fan here dude and I wish you the best 2017 buddy!!

  2. I haven’t looked at many ‘best of’ posts this year, but had been looking forward to yours. It’s even better than I thought it would be, and I knew it would be brilliant. Every image is full of narrative, emotion, humour and perfect timing. You have a knack of getting so much content and life in the frame. As they say, ”all killer, no filler”. Love your couple of little cameo appearances in there too 😉

  3. These are bold, cheeky, emotional, often hilarious and always beautiful. You’ve got such an amazing eye for moments and I love how much you cram into each picture. Absolutely love these.
