Peckforton Castle Photographer

This was not my first time as a Peckforton Castle photographer – but it was my first summer wedding here. Peckforton Castle is without doubt one of the finest wedding venues in the UK, and I was delighted when Jamielee and Chris asked me to document their big day.

Along with her bridesmaids and flowergirls, Jamielee was preparing in a cottage not far from Peckforton – which is where I started to capture the day. Clare Arden, a talented hairdresser and make-up artist who I have had the pleasure of working with previously, was there to assist the group in their preparations.

After capturing the bridal preparations, I joined Chris at Peckforton Castle as the guests were starting to arrive. As the rain was just about holding off everyone enjoyed a pre wedding drink against the stunning castle backdrop before heading to the Great Hall to await the arrival of Jamielee (Chris just about held it together as he saw her for the first time!).  The beautiful ceremony was followed by a blessing at the Chapel after which the guests settled in for the reception

Touching speeches followed the wedding breakfast, with Chris trying to hide in his seat at points during the speeches by his best men 🙂 In the evening, the sunshine was back with us, and all the guests mingled outside, enjoying a wine or two. The evening reception took place back in the Great Hall, and a céilidh band (all the way down from Scotland) really got the party going after the first dance 🙂

It really was a special day to photograph, I was chuffed to receive these kind words from Chris and Jamielee after I emailed their photos over:

Thank you so much! You have turned this ordinary Wednesday night into a champagne evening! We have done nothing else but look at photos and watch your video since we got your email. The photos are absolutely perfect. You have done an amazing job capturing our special day. We could not have dreamed of better photos. We really cannot thank you enough. You have given us both the best wedding gift!

  1. Love these Adam, really great work. Groom’s expression per-ceremony is a corker, and love the light throughout the dancing shots – great off camera flash work!

  2. Great set of images Adam – I particularly like the one of the bride’s mum walking her down the aisle, the bride and groom walking back down the aisle together and the black and white image of the young bridesmaids.
