Rebecca and David
Here we are in March already, and in Cheshire at least, it’s currently snowing! I’m no longer sure if anyone can predict the weather pattern in the UK! Not that Rebecca and David minded, their wedding in November was bathed in sunshine all day and provided a glorious backdrop!
I first met Rebecca and David via Skype video call to discuss their big day. Like many couples, they are based in london, but with northern roots had chosen to have their wedding nearer home. After a nice informal chat via video call, I was delighted when I was asked to document their wedding at Mere Court Hotel 🙂
I started the day bright and early at Rebecca’s parents house where the girls were getting ready for the big day – with Sara and Rina providing hair and make-up. One of my favourite shots from the preparation is the black and white shot of Rebecca adjusting her bracelet. The shot was taken in Rebecca’s old bedroom, where she was getting ready that morning. As the room she grew up in, I’m sure it was filled with happy memories and it was nice to see the morning’s events adding to them. Whilst everyone else was having a final rush getting prepared, Rebecca was left alone for a few minutes. With Rebecca unaware, I quietly fired a couple of frames from the doorway before leaving her to her thoughts. I really like the anticipation and excitement that you can sense she is feeling before departing for church.
Only a short 5 minute drive to St Matthews’s Church in Stretton, I arrived well ahead of Rebecca to capture David greeting guests, with his nerves holding up well. After a lovely ceremony, and lots of confetti throwing outside the church, we headed to the reception at the lovely Mere Cout Hotel for the celebration to really begin.
I had the pleasure of really getting to know Rebecca and David during a relaxed pre wedding shoot at Delamere Forrest, and thoroughly enjoyed documenting their wedding day. When I left late in the evening, everyone was partying hard to the fabulous music from Live Wires, which I know continued late into the night 🙂
Before sharing my favourite images, a couple of snippets from an email Rebecca and David sent me after I had delivered their photographs:
“WOW. What an amazing job! Thank you so much, we are thrilled to bits!…..We are soooooo pleased with the pictures, can not actually describe how much. You captured the moments perfectly! It was lovely to sit back and look at the day as if from a guests point of view”
