Jo and Mark

I’m slowly catching up with blogging my weddings from 2012! Today’s features Jo and Mark, who got married in Stockport last year, with their reception in the Cheshire village of Peover.

I started the day with Jo, her bridesmaids and family documenting the morning preparation as the excitement and anticipation built. Jo’s nephew Rhys was getting ready here too – he is looking like a budding photographer, often seen with his camera in hand, and even managed to get a couple of his own reportage style shots of yours truly at work 🙂

The ceremony was held at St Mary’s Parish in Stockport, and when Jo arrived in her wedding car I managed to capture the look of surprise as she was greeted by waiting doves (the birds, not the band!), which were later released after the ceremony in spectacular fashion.

After the ceremony I followed the guests to Peover Golf Club, where Andrew Jordan was on hand to wow guests with his close up magic, some great speeches followed, and Zippy from Rainbow even made an appearance!

Unfortunately Jo’s Dad was in Hospital and was unable to attend on the day – however Steve (Jo’s step-Dad) did a great job on the day! I hope my images allow Jo’s Dad to capture a sense of the atmosphere of the day and to experience the moments as if present… something I strive to do every time I am privileged to document a wedding day.

Some of my favourite storytelling images from Jo and Marks day below.
