Louise and David – Reportage Wedding Photographer Lancashire

Louise and David asked me to photograph their wedding back in March 2011, I can’t believe how quickly their big day came round. A really lovely couple, I was looking forward to capturing the wedding in my documentary style.

Preparations started at home, with Louise her two girls and the other bridesmaids happily preparing for the day. The younger ones were entertaining themselves with the film Matilda, whilst the over 18’s enjoyed a bucks fizz or two 🙂

A quick trip down the road to the gorgeous St Thomas Church in Golborne, and I arrived in time to catch David greeting guess and having a sneaky tipple from his hip flask before the arrival of his bride. It was a beautiful ceremony, with Louise beaming throughout. After the ceremony, the guests took the opportunity of a break in the rain to throw lots of confetti over the happily married couple!

Stanley House hotel in Standish, Lancashire was the lovely setting for the reception, complete with a sweet stand it looked fabulous (I only had a couple of the sweets) The celebrations continued and I documented everyone having a great time, as opposed to taking numerous posed portraits and group shots.

More images can be found on my facebook page, and guests can view all the images of the day via the “client area” of my website.

A quick message that I received from Louise on my facebook page below….

“Thanks again Adam.. Will never tire of thanking u actually! We owe you the world for capturing our special day the way you did.”

  1. Lovely work Adam – gentle black and whites and warm, rich colours. Some great timing in a lot of those shots too. Groom exhaling, the split second before the kiss. Great stuff.
