Fireworks Wedding Photography

A few weeks ago one of my documentary wedding images was selected as the “image of the week” on the popular documentary wedding photography blog photography1827. I was flattered by the kind words and comments by Kathryn and visitors to the website. The image was then placed in a public vote and was selected as photo of the month too 🙂

The winning photo was taken of Mike and Steph enjoying the evening fireworks whilst celebrating their wedding at Eastnor Castle in the summer, some of the lovely blog post is also below:

”The bride and groom must be absolutely thrilled with this photograph. It really is outstanding and I would like to point out that this is not an easy image to capture… the lighting situation would have been very tricky indeed and unless you know what you’re doing with a camera, this shot would most likely come out extremely fuzzy. This is a reason to hire a professional photographer because they can get shots that many others won’t. If you are fairly new to wedding photography and still finding your feet, this is definitely a standard you should be aiming for… a note to brides and grooms, if you can afford it, this is the standard of wedding photography you should be looking for to preserve your precious memories of your big day”
