Styal Lodge wedding
A contemporary wedding venue, in the countryside of Cheshire, this modern lodge is situated in the village of Styal. A modern eco friendly building, constructed from sustainable Finnish timber, it sits perfectly in its surrounding. The secluded lodge has its own spectacular Lake, and private gardens. Situated close enough to Manchester to make transportation easy, the lodge is perfect for you and your guests to access on your big day. It is licensed to hold Civil ceremonies, or you can have a religious service of one of the local picturesque churches, such as Norcliffe Chapel

The happy couple got married in December just around the corner from me at the beautiful Norcliffe Chapel. I actually shot my first ever wedding at Norcliffe and have had the pleasure of returning on a few occasions. It is one of the most picturesque churches in Cheshire and on a sunny winters day such as this, it looks amazing!
My photography of the day started at Jenni’s parents where she was getting ready, along with her sister, niece, nephew, and cute little son Henry. While Henry sat immersed in Toy Story on the TV, the girls were busy preparing with the excitement building for the big day. I headed to the church ahead of Jenni, and captured some of the nerves and anticipation of Paul, patiently waiting for his bride.
After a beautiful ceremony, Jenni and Paul had a glass of bubbly in their wedding car whilst the guests bathed in the golden sunlight and took some photos of the happy couple. As usual I mingled amongst the guests to capture some candid shots, as is my way. We then headed on a short journey to Styal Lodge for the reception.
This was my first Styal Lodge wedding, a lovely modern venue, with its own lake…I even got to visit the lake for some formal shots with Jenni and Paul, via a Golf Buggy (I’ve always wanted to have a go in one!)
As well as a speech (which was great!) Leon, Paul’s best man, was the drummer for the evenings party entertainment. The Blame, are great band performing rock and pop covers. Leon and the guys had the nights entertainment in full swing when I left for the night.
