Sandhole Oak Barn Christmas Wedding : Louise and Joel
“Ahhhh!! We love them so much thank you “
You may notice from the photos that this was a Christmas wedding…from 2017! Only putting me 12 months behind on my blog posts!
A winter wedding seemed like the only option for 2 fantasy fans, a song of ice and fire, an atmospheric ethereal landscape, a wintry, magical wonderland. Definitely the perfect backdrop for Louise and Joel’s Christmas wedding at Sandhole Oak Barn which included Game of Throne’s table names and the bride walking down the aisle to that famous wedding march, the theme to Lord of the Rings. You will see in one of the shots below, the reaction of the bridesmaids and Louises’ dad as they recognise the choice in music moments before making their way down the aisle. Louise has elvish script tattoos and had hunted down her perfect, elvish wedding dress for the big day, a perfect mix of a classic wedding dress adorned with embroidered leaves and flowers. Perfect!
Winter weddings also come with the risk of winter illness and the bride to be was knocking back cough medicine in addition to her celebratory fizz that morning. However, there was no way way that this was going to hold Louise back and both her and Joel had a blast. Even when their booked DJ didn’t appear, they continued to keep the dance floor packed by playing their own music through the system at Sandhole. Their smiles didn’t falter for a moment…although Louise later admitted that she may have hit the drink a little more after hearing the news.. which may have possibly led to some of the epic dance moves seen later (particularly when combined with cough medicine!) 🙂
As always, some of my favourite documentary images from the day…
