I have been a Peckforton Castle Wedding Photographer on numerous occasions over the years. Every wedding having it’s own story to tell, but with the consistent backdrop of this stunning Cheshire wedding venue. Set in some of the UK’s most picturesque scenery, you see the castle perched on its hill for miles around as you approach. It’s one of those rare wedding venues which is spectacular both inside and out, and a favourite of which I love to capture weddings in my documentary approach.
The Castle has 48 luxury en-suite bedrooms. Including Four Poster, Executive and of course the Bridal Suite. Each room is individually designed and decorated, no two are alike but all share the same luxurious feel. The perfect setting for getting ready for the day, and for crashing at the end of an epic party.
With a choice of packages and suites able to accommodate from 10 to 170 guests, Peckforton Castle has been the location for TV and films, including Robin Hood and Dr Who, and the setting for many an A-lister celeb wedding!
“We loved having you be a part of our day and absolutely adore every single photo you captured!”Charlotte + Tom, married at Peckforton Castle
This luxury castle, in the beautiful village of Tarpoley, Cheshire is accessed via long woodland climb along the driveway, and a spectacular entrance gateway reveals this grade 1, medieval style castle. Although technically it was built as Victorian country house, so it does have the mod cons not usually associated with castles!
There are 5 rooms licensed for weddings, but the great hall at Peckforton is the most popular. With stained glass windows and a 10 meter high vaulted ceiling, it is a very special setting. The service can be held at either end of this grand space and I’ve even seen the wedding rings delivered by Owl!
From drinks and canapés after the ceremony, through to the party until the early hours, Peckforton has such a choice of options to make the day unique to you. From summer weddings enjoying the huge front lawn, to cosy indoor candlelit winter weddings.
The wedding breakfast can take place in the Great Hall, The drawing room or the Hexagonal room. The great hall is transformed in the evening to an epic party setting. For those still ready for a party after hours, there is the wine cellar.
