Photography Coverage
The majority of images captured on the day will be in a reportage/documentary style. A selection of posed and group photographs will also be taken following consultation with the couple.
The photographer will make every reasonable effort to accommodate requests regarding poses, locations, and group photographs. However, the photographer retains full artistic discretion in relation to the style, composition, editing, and delivery of images.
Due to circumstances beyond the photographer’s control — including weather conditions, venue restrictions, timing delays, lighting conditions, or the cooperation of guests — it may not be possible to capture every requested image.
The photographer may also be restricted by rules set by registrars, officiants, or venue management. In such cases, the couple agrees to accept any resulting limitations on photography coverage.
Film Photography
Film photography involves manual processes and specialist laboratory development. While every reasonable care is taken, occasional technical issues, damage, or processing failures may occur.
In the unlikely event that film images are lost, damaged, or cannot be delivered due to circumstances beyond the photographer’s control, liability shall be limited to a refund of the cost per each roll of film (£55)
Editing and printing
All delivered images will be professionally edited. Editing may include:
- Colour correction
- Exposure adjustments
- Contrast enhancement
- Cropping
- Sharpening
- Black and white conversions
Basic blemish or stray hair removal may be carried out on selected close-up portraits at the photographer’s discretion.
Adam Riley Photography cannot accept responsibility for the quality of prints or products ordered through third-party suppliers.
Copyright and Storage
Copyright in all images remains with Adam Riley Photography.
The couple is granted a personal-use licence to print, share, and distribute the delivered images for non-commercial purposes, including use on personal websites and social media.
Images may not be sold, submitted for publication, or used commercially without prior written consent.
The photographer will retain backup copies of delivered files for a minimum of 12 months after delivery. Permanent storage is not guaranteed. The couple is responsible for creating and maintaining their own backups upon receipt.
Postponement
If the wedding is postponed due to coronavirus, pandemic, government restrictions, or other circumstances beyond the couple’s control, the photographer will offer one date transfer free of charge, provided the new date falls within 18 months of the original wedding date and is subject to availability.
Cancellation
The client may cancel this contract at any time, subject to the following charges:
- 6 calendar months or more notice: booking retainer only.
- 3 to 6 calendar months’ notice: 50% of the total package price.
- Less than 3 calendar months’ notice: 100% of the total package price.
The photographer recommends that wedding insurance be obtained to cover supplier fees in the event of cancellation.
If the photographer must cancel due to circumstances beyond reasonable control, including illness, injury, death, or emergency, liability shall be limited to a full refund of all monies paid.
Where possible, the photographer will make reasonable efforts to assist in sourcing a suitable replacement photographer, but this cannot be guaranteed.
