Nunsmere Hall outdoor wedding : Tessa + Jonny
” They’re absolutely brilliant!! Thanks so much”.
Last Summer was definitely the year for an outdoor wedding in the UK and Tessa and Jonny’s Outdoor wedding at Nunsmere Hall last summer was one stunning day. My main memory is of laughter and dancing, all day /night long!
I’ve shot a few weddings at Nunsmere Hall, but this was my first outside. The garden in the June sunshine looked very special indeed, and set the ideal scene for the bright floral theme of the wedding. Spectacular floral arrangements and bouquets of brilliant colours aligned with the fun and joy of the celebrations, and Tessa’s impressive floral crown bought everything together perfectly. Tessa also had the good fortune of having a super talented Aunt, Diane Harbridge, who designed and handmade her beautiful wedding dress, a dream for many brides-to-be!
When I first met Tessa and Jonny over a beer in London, they explained how their day would be totally relaxed, a big party with family and friends. Integral to this would be the Jewish Israeli dancing, a special aspect that both were really looking forward too, as was I. As you can see below, the dancing lived up to expectations (the human pyramid was immense) and created some of the best facial expressions and reactions that I have seen at a wedding. It was an absolute pleasure, and extremely fun, to shoot their day.
As always, I captured the story of the day without staging moments, managing to get some of my favourite “street style wedding images” of 2018. These are the types of images I enjoy capturing the most, photos that are not set in the usual wedding photography mould. Unique to that day, that moment – telling a story of the people in them.
