Jade + Ben
The Rules of the day: Smile lots. Eat plenty. Drink copiously. Laugh loudly. Dance crazily. HAVE FUN.
What an awesome day of partying Jade and Ben’s wedding was. Back in February at the Kew Gardens Hotel in London, I was really looking forward to this one. Having a good chat with Jade and Ben over skype, it was clear the guys had one thing in mind, having one heck of a good time!
Jade and her glitter bitches (aka bridesmaids), were getting ready at her parents house, where Jade was dancing and singing all morning, something not altogether unusual I think. The Kew gardens hotel is a lovely pub, and Jade’s school choir were all on hand to sing for the ceremony – something that meant lot’s to both Jade and Ben. The ceremony itself was beautifully relaxed, conducted from the spiral staircase. The vicar quickly whipped off his usual attire and donned a gold glittery jacket, an honorary member of the glitter bitches group for the day!
A relaxed reception with live music was followed by Pie and Mash (absolutely delicious!). Later a “joint speech” by Jade and Ben, was more akin to a Rap Battle/poem, with dissing and heartfelt sentiment proving mixing to provide a unique way of expressing themselves, I (and everyone else) loved it! After the meal, Jade helped the acoustic singer out, continuing the dancing and singing, loving every moment of the day. The party really started to get going!
The evening was a mixture of DJ garage tunes and the ultimate party band, Fake Tan. Attired in matching white outfits, headbands and painted neon, these guys rocked it with songs from the 80’s onwards. The Kew gardens hotel turning into an epic gig, with everyone packed onto the dancefloor. I left in the early hours, having enjoyed myself as much as everyone attending.
Thanks for having me guys, it really was a day of non stop smiling and fun!
Incredible set of frames, jam packed with emotion and energy. Nailed it Adam!
Grand work Adam. Great to see a behind the scene image from the kitchen. I always try and do it too. In my 10 years previous kitchen experience never seen any photographers doing it at weddings I catered for! Little extra effort and something that is often missed in documented wedding stories. Well done!
