The Inn at Whitewell

Set in the Lancashire countryside, The Inn at Whitewell is the perfect place to take in some of the best views in England and celebrate in style. Originating in the 1300’s the wedding venue itself is now a rural Inn and Hotel, producing wonderful food year round and famously featured in Steve Coogan’s “the trip“.

With the river Hodder a stones throw away, it’s a wonderful Lancashire wedding venue. The area is visited by tourists and hikers from all over the UK, many looking to cross the famous stepping stones just beside the Inn at Whitewell (even tried by some brave bride and grooms!). For weddings, a marquee overlooking the river, with its own private garden is perfect for upto 160 guests, allowing plenty of space to party into the night!

If you decide upon a church wedding, the picturesque Parish Church of Saint Michael Whitewell is next door to the venue. The beautiful building, built in 1817 is steeped in history, and its proximity ensures you and your guests do not have far to travel after the wedding ceremony,

The Inn at Whitwell also has a separate area for the drinks reception if the sun is shining.

I have shot a number of weddings at the Inn at Whitewell over the years. If you would like some more information about my documentary wedding photography, and how I unobtrusively capture your story, please contact me to view a comprehensive gallery and receive a brochure.
