Emma and Ben: A Heaton House Farm Wedding

Emma and Ben’s wedding was an international affair. Emma is half Danish, so lots of family were over in Cheshire to celebrate this special day at Heaton House Farm.

Emma is an talented artist and had put her skills to work with handmade touches across the reception, bespoke wedding gifts, a miniature play castle, a fingerprint tree, hedgehog tombola to name just a few. You can find Emma online at www.emmarutter.com, she also provides bespoke wedding illustration 🙂

Both Emma and Ben were getting ready at Heaton House Farm which enabled me to get some shots as they both prepared for the ceremony. The ceremony/reception took place in separate areas of this sprawling and beautiful venue – and the changeable weather mostly stayed dry…with a spectacular sunset at the end of the day.

As well as the artistic flair, the Danish influence was also clear to see throughout the day… I had to be keep on my toes to catch some unexpected moments. Throughout the meal guests would clap and stamp their feet, at which the newlyweds had to stand on their chairs and kiss…and after the first dance had finished, Ben was swept of his feet by most of the guys, his shoes were taken off, and the end of socks cut off – not something I’ve seen before!

A lovely relaxed wedding day, the evening was wrapped up with some superb entertainment, a Beatles Tribute Band was a sure fire hit to get everyone in the party mood

Below is a selection of some shots from the amazing day, but first a few kind words I received from Emma and Ben after sharing their photographs with them:

We’ve just checked out the slideshow. To be honest, we were expecting great things (just based on the other slideshows you gave us to look at) and……You have absolutely blown us away!!!! It tells the story of the day beautifully and has so many really special, funny and emotional moments. Thank you so much. Thank you for all your hard work and for being such a talented and lovely guy.
