Julia + Dan : Home Jewish Wedding
I love sharing the weddings I’ve shot, but with summer wedding season in full swing I’m a little behind with my blogging! Time to make amends and no better way to start than with Julia and Dan’s home Jewish wedding – exactly 1 year ago today (happy anniversary guys!).
Julia and Dan were guests at Astrid and James’s wedding in France the year before, and after seeing my unobtrusive approach asked me down to Somerset to shoot their big day at Julia’s parents house.
My approach to photography seems to attract couples with similar characteristics, typically laid back and looking to have a fun-filled day of celebration. Dan and Julia definitely fitted this description and had planned a unique and creative day for their guests. This concentrated on the important things, food, drink, partying and getting married of course. Dan is in the wine industry so the guests were in for treat ( I sampled from one Italy, ‘bella’). The traditional wedding dress was replaced with a cool jump suit, there were no concerns about seeing each other before the ceremony and the wedding favours were dinosaurs 😊. All sounds good to me!
It was an absolute pleasure to capture the day, I can’t believe it was a year ago! Some of my favourite fames below…
“These are amazing, thank you so much!!! We have really enjoyed looking through them and reliving the memories. We think you have done such an excellent job capturing the celebrations – thank you for your skill and professionality! It was a joy to work with you.”
