Manoir de Kerougas Wedding : Morgane + Cyril
Like everyone, I’ve really missed travelling the past couple of years due to the pandemic, so I thought I’d share this beautiful Manoir de Kerougas Wedding from 2019 when I was in Le Crosic, France for Morgane and Cyril’s wedding. Having shot their friends (Clarisse and Thomas) wedding back in 2017, I knew it was going to be an amazing day.
Morgane and Cyril are both French, and I really love how all generations at French weddings love to party until the early hours! I don’t know how they keep going for so long. My French linguistic skills are limited to asking for beer and wine, but I was made to feel completely welcome by everyone, and documented the story unfolding as usual.
After capturing Morgane getting ready at her parents house and Cyril preparing with his friends at a hotel, I headed to the beautiful Église Saint-Nicolas Church to capture the ceremony (A church I have now shot 4 weddings at, more than any other – including the UK!). From here, the celebrations began at the Manoir de Kerougas in Assérac. The Manor is a spatular venue, and in the beautiful afternoon sunlight, guests enjoyed drinks and canapés, before a meal, outdoor speeches and one heck of a party!
It was an honour to be asked to capture the day. It was an absolutely blast, with all the guests dancing, singing and partying away! I can’t wait to return to Le Crosic for another wedding next year. I was lucky enough to win a “This is Reportage” story award with this wedding, an expanded selection of some of my favourite storytelling images are below.
