Home Garden Wedding: Eunice + Paul
“You’ve done such a spectacular job at capturing our special day. The photos you took have taken us back to the day of the wedding, it reflected how organic the day was (just like how we wanted it to be). It’s such a great story telling of how the day went.”
A relaxed family affair at Paul’s family home in Norfolk, this coming together of two families was such a fun day to document. Eunice’s family travelled over from the Philippines, and were welcomed to England in a very special fashion, with a good English party!
The ceremony took place at the beautiful St. Martin’s Church New Buckenham, I managed to capture a shot of Eunice arriving with the church reflected in the car window. One of my favourites and one that went on to win a couple of awards. A gorgeous ceremony ensued, complete with congratulatory fist bumps. From here, we all headed to Paul’s family home, where a true home garden wedding party had been organised. The garden and all settings were down to the hard work of Paul and Eunice (with the help of family and friends). A large majority of the food was home made with the wedding party helping to serve the guests. It was a wedding reception without a rigid formal feel, something I love to shoot as you never know what is going to happen.
The English September weather had turned a little drizzly, but that didn’t hinder spirits, a bit of rain never hurt anyone. A first dance outside on a wet dancefloor, campfires galore, the party went on well into the night and I stayed to the end to capture every bit of the fun.
Paul and Eunice created such an unbelievably happy and laid back day, it was a pleasure to witness. Some of my favourite storytelling images below. Every frame a natural moment.
So many great moments here. Brilliant coverage.
Fantastic documentary shooting there, brilliant work and know the couple would love them.
