“absolutely fantastic!!”
Just before Christmas I headed down to the Cotswolds for Cat and Alex’s Great Tythe Barn Wedding. What a day it was! Alex was the best man at Lucy and Phil’s wedding in 2014, his dance moves that evening were something to behold and I was lucking forward to seeing him throw some shapes again (he didn’t disappoint). It was also great to see Lucy and Phil again, especially as Lucy was soon to give birth to their little one!
After my full English treat at a local hotel, I headed over to The Great Tythe Barn to capture the morning preparation . Witnessing the morning excitement, nerves and anticipation is a part of the day I really enjoy! Cat and the girls were getting prepared in the big house whilst Alex and the boys were also on site, I wandered between capturing the story of the morning. An awesome converted VW camper transported the wedding party to the beautiful St Mary the Virgin Church down the road in Tetbury. A beautiful ceremony followed in which the Choir from Cat’s school featured with a recorded song 🙂
Arriving back at the Barn, and the 18th months of planning had obviously been put to good use, lots of homemade details, games and special touches – it looked perfect. Cathrine told me her school children had also helped out here, handpicking the pinecones that decorated the tables 🙂
Cathrine and Alex had been friends for years before getting together, and it was clear to see these guys are best friends. Both lived every moment of the wedding day and enjoyed it to the full – just how it should be! An honour to be a part of, some of my favourite images from the day below…
The awesome Mister Kanish had the dancefloor packed!
