Cranage Hall Wedding Photography
I met Lindsay and Matt a few weeks before their wedding at Cranage Hall, and from this instantly knew they were a great couple, and capturing their wedding day would be a breeze.
Lindsay was preparing with her bridesmaids at her parents house. When I arrived I was greeted by Mum and Dad with a selection of Oak Cakes to choose from for my breakfast. Any readers that live outside of Staffordshire will be as flummoxed as I was by the term ‘Oak Cake’,  (the BBC website refers to them as “looking like wet flannels “) but after some  encouragement from Lindsay, I plumped for one filled with bacon and cheese – it was amazing, and  I am now an Oak Cake convert!
Fully fuelled, I was ready to continue documenting the day. The reception and ceremony was at  Cranage Hall in Cheshire, and this was my first wedding at this beautiful venue. Lindsay arrived in a classic VW camper, whilst Matt was waiting nervously with his best man. A super happy ceremony followed, with some touching and funny readings.
Whist the happy newlyweds enjoyed chatting with family and friends during the reception, I mingled with the guests and continued to capture the story of the day – before heading off for ten minutes to get some portraits around the grounds of Cranage.
The relaxed atmosphere continued with afternoon tea – which was proceeded by the speeches. Best man Jonathan embarrassing the groom to great effect -with stories of Matt’s love of dance at school 🙂
It was a great day, and a pleasure to be a part of. Some kind words from Matthew, and a few of my favourite images below…
We can’t thank you enough for the job you’ve done. They all look amazing! ….We’re both so pleased with how you captured the day!
