Rivington Barn Wedding Photography
When I first met Louise she was dressed as tweedle-dee….or what is tweedle-dum? A long story but suffice to say, a couple of weeks later I had been asked to capture the wedding day of Louise and Ryan at Rivington Barn. Ryan is a keen photographer himself and both Louise and Ryan were really keen on an approach that would capture the story and spirit of the day, without intrusion.
I had the pleasure of meeting Louise and Ryan a couple of times (minus the fancy dress outfit), in the lead up to their wedding. Keen fellow travellers I received some great travel tips for Vietnam , and in return passed over some must see places on the US west coast where they were due to head on an amazing honeymoon.
I commenced documenting the day with Louise, her Mum and Bridesmaids all getting ready for the big day. A moving ceremony took place at Euxton Parish Church, just around the corner from my old house in Lancashire. From here the reception was at the stunning Rivington Barn – an historic building dating back to the 11th Century! The wedding day was very wet and rainy, and although I think Louise was really hoping for sunshine, it didn’t spoil the day in the slightest.
A great group of family and friends, the partying started early….during the meal, many guests were dancing away to the entertainment and the dancefloor was packed as soon as the music started in the evening. After I had captured lots of dancing, I left the guys to continue one heck of a party!
After I shared the photos with Louise and Ryan, I was tagged in this very kind facebook post by Louise…
Just looked at all my wedding photos for the first time – I love all 364 of them – thank you so much to my brilliant photographer :O)
Some of my favourite documentary shots from the day are below, feel free to leave a comment 🙂
