One of the most fun and relaxed weddings that I had the pleasure of capturing last year. Ashleigh and Stuart were married at Stirk House in the Ribble valley, Lancashire. The area is renowned for its beautiful surroundings, and Stirk House takes advantage of the natural beauty of the area, bringing some of the outside inside (as you can see in some of the images!).

When I arrived in the morning, the excitement was palpable. Ashleigh and her bridesmaids were not nervous at all, and just enjoying every minute of the day. I had the opportunity to nip between the girls preparing for the day, and the boys having a pint and welcoming guests to the venue – ensuring the story of the morning anticipation was captured from both sides.

When the big moment arrived, Ashleigh literally danced down the aisle, soaking up every moment as she walked alongside her super proud Dad. Stuart was supported by his best man,  and I think he surprised himself with the onset of his emotions as he saw his beautiful bride for the first time! A ceremony filled with laughter, tears, cheers and kisses – it truly was a privilege to witness and capture.

After a brief period of Lancashire rain, the guests headed outside to enjoy the sunshine along with a couple of drinks – soon they had showered Ashleigh and Stuart with confetti 🙂 Stuart is a huge footballl fan (playing, watching and managing!) and this was often a subject of “discussion” during the speeches, which contained touching moments in equal measure. I also discovered that Ashleigh is a big Manchester City fan, but not everyone is perfect 😉

 In the evening, I joined Ashleigh, Stuart and their guests on the dancefloor, where as they were throwing down some moves, I was wielding my camera!
