“Well, that is just incredible”

Alex and Alex

Like most of my 2021 weddings, the plans and date for Alex and Alex (aka girl Alex and boy Alex) had to be changed due to the pandemic, but this home Staffordshire garden wedding was really worth the wait.

Alex and Alex moved from London to live the rural dream in the beautiful village of Brewood, Staffordshire. What a beautiful setting it is! Alex’s cousin lives next door, and the combined properties provided the location for the day.

In the morning, I captured the action unfolding as the family were getting everything ready. Alex’s cousin was busy preparing all the flowers, all homegrown in the garden! The kids were having the time of their lives trying out all the garden games, whilst Alex and her bridesmaids were very chilled out getting ready upstairs at home.

Once it was time to get married, it was just a short drive to Saint Mary the Virgin and Saint Chad Church in the village for the ceremony (with some guests joining over zoom), before everyone walked back to the house, many guests carrying beautiful flowers back to the garden.

With a string quartet playing, a surprise dove release and games galore in the garden, the English weather really had been perfect for the day. After speeches and a meal, Alex’s uncle jumped on the Saxaphone and got everyone in the party mood, before the newleyweds had their first dance, outside in the garden of their new rural village.

Some favourite storytelling photographs from the day below…
