Hope Mill Theatre Wedding- Anna and Adam
“You’ve captured the essence of the day perfectly and we all look amazing! You are truly an artist. It’s like there’s sound coming out of the pictures 😍 We have laughed and cried equally – so so happy and worth every penny.”Anna + Adam
Anna and Adam’s January (2020) wedding took place at Hope Mill Theatre, a unique venue that only holds 8 weddings per year! It’s high on my list of Manchester’s best wedding venues, with its amazing spaces and urban backdrop, it really is special! (I’ve been lucky enough to return since for Halah and Seans wedding, as featured in my Best of 2022 blog post).
Going into the day, I already knew what an amazing party it was going to be! In previous years I’d captured the wedding of Anna and Adam’s good friends Ben + Charlotte at Sanhole Oak Barn and Ruth + Matt (the best man) at Mitton Hall. It’s always so much fun to see past couple, growing families and many familiar faces.
The morning stared in the city centre, capturing the wedding day build up of both the guys and girls. A short drive to Hope Mill Theatre for a chilled ceremony in the lounge area of the Theatre. The January weather was kind enough to allow time outside the front of the theatre for the guests to catch up and congratulate the happy couple with drinks and canapés. The theatre space is a blank canvas that can be decorated individually, Anna and Adam had the space looking amazing for the subsequent wedding breakfast and party.
It was such a joy to capture, and one of only 2 “proper” weddings I shot in 2020 because of the pandemic. Below are some of my favourite storytelling images of the day.
