February saw me shooting the amazing wedding of Loren and Ross at Sefton Park Palm House in Merseyside. I first met Loren and Ross as guests at the wedding of Nichola and Neil just under a year earlier and knew that their own wedding was going to be an equally excellent day. It was also great to see Nichola and Neil again, Nichola was a bridesmaid on this occasion, and congratulations was once again in order as the couple were expecting the arrival of their first baby soon, exciting times!
Being late February my wife Laura was also heavily pregnant and we were both excited to welcome our little “spud” into the world in March. Naturally I was a little worried that the baby may come early, so the extremely talented Adam Johnson came along for the ride. If I got “the call” during the day, Adam was to take over the photography. As it turns out baby Noah was born a couple of weeks later (check out his cute face on my facebook page), so Adam and I documented the whole day together – it was great fun!
The morning preparations took place at the Hilton Hotel in Liverpool. Adam captured Ross and the guys getting ready, whilst I stayed with Loren and the girls. Ross lived by Sefton Park as a student, and it was here at the stunning Sefton Park Palm House that the ceremony and reception were to take place. Although an afternoon winter wedding, as the setting sun shone through the tropical trees during the ceremony, the feeling was more that of a summer evening wedding!Â
The ceremony was beautiful, with Ross and Loren’s two boys looking on proudly! Once complete, the party quickly got going with boy band The Risk of X Factor fame getting everyone dancing! This summed up the tone of the whole day, completely fun filled.
The day was an absolute pleasure to photograph. Some of my favourite images captured by myself and Adam below.
If you are getting married at Sefton Park Palm House, and would like to discuss me documenting your big day – please do get in touch 🙂
