Upper House Hayfield Wedding : Tracey and Martin

Tracey and Martin married in July of this year in the stunning Peak District, with the wedding preparation and reception held at Upper House Hayfield. This characterful, private retreat also boasts the famous Kinder Scout mountain in its backdrop and makes for a stunning wedding venue.

The wedding ceremony took place locally in Martin’s family church. In keeping with the more ‘rugged’ terrain, the bride arrived at the Church in a pimped up Landrover. Not that there was any chance of getting stuck in the mud on this beautiful Summer’s day!

The ceremony was relaxed and personal.  The Vicar, a Man City fan, likening marriage to being a Man Utd fan (which I am), where you need to battle through the tough times as well as the bad! Although he failed to add that much of the time would be at the top of the game ☺. The Church service also held a first for me in terms of wedding shots. I’ve captured many guests taking a quick selfie at some point during the day but never the bride and groom. As Tracey and Martin made their way back down the aisle after tying the knot they paused and happily posed as Martin quickly caught the shot. Something tells me that this could quickly catch on with other couples.

Back to Upper House and guests were entertained by an acoustic set from the talented band Warning Tones. The younger guests enjoyed themselves as they roamed through the grounds of the country estate. The Warning Tones would later pick up the pace and provide a floor packing set whilst rocking out with the guests, it what proved to be a heck of a party!
