Newby Hall Wedding: Charlotte + Steve
Chatting to Charlotte and Steve before their Newby Hall wedding, it was clear how excited they were for the day…a week filled with wedding crafting and organising (the effort they made was clear for all to see), including pre made lunch boxes for all the guests!
The church service took place at Charlottes old school church, just down the road from her parents. After a beautiful service, guests boarded double decker buses to the reception, the journey complete with the home made packed lunch for all. A short drive from Harrogate took us to Newby Hall, my first visit to this stunning venue (and with its own miniature railway too!). The un-forecast blue sky allowed everyone to enjoy the beautiful setting, with expert Lucy Wright on hand to ensure the day flowed smoothly, a joy to work with 🙂
I first met Charlotte and Steve when Steve was best man for his brother Phil a couple of years ago. Phil + Laura’s wedding was one hell of a party, the party spirit definitely runs in the family as you can see below. Every moment of the day was filled with laughter. Giggling together and remarking (on multiple occasions) just how much fun they were having, this is exactly what weddings are about. As the sun set, the party atmosphere stepped up a notch. Northern Lights provided the entertainment, cue a non stop party late into the night, I stayed along to capture the action. The dancefloor highlight had to be the epic boys vs girls danceoff. Or actually, maybe it was when “Proud Mary” by Ike and Tina Turner (one of the greatest songs ever) dropped (the exact moment captured in one of the shots below, any ideas which?).
Come home time, everyone was looking a little bit bedraggled and sweaty (including me!), a sign of one hell of a day.
Great collection Adam! Your sets always include images I see nowhere else. Great colours, and loving the dancing images.
