Woodhill Hall Wedding : Victoria and James
My first wedding of 2017 saw me in Northumberland for Victoria and James’s Woodhill Hall wedding. I first met Victoria and James when James was on best man duties at Rob + Victoria’s wedding back in 2015. Role reversal this time, as Rob took on the role of best man and delivered pay back to James with a suitably embarrassing speech. I knew it would be another awesome party, and it certainly was!
Woodhill Hall was a gorgeous setting and provided the flexibility of opulent rooms and a spectacular orangery for the daytime celebrations and a fantastically atmospheric teepee for the evenings party. With open fires the teepee was perfectly cosy, even on a relatively crisp March evening.
Thanks so much for Victoria and James for having me along to document their day. A little emotional at times (James), it was filled with love, fun, maginc and funky dance moves.
For any fellow photographers interested, this was my first wedding with the Leica M10. Shooting alongside my Leica Q, it’s an awesome combination. Thanks to the guys at Leica Manchester for loaning me the 50mm summicron, a truly beautiful lens and one I was very sad to return. I’ve been shooting with the M10 for 6 months now and will do a wedding review of it soon.
As always, some of my favourites storytelling images below.
