Adlington Hall Wedding: Hayley and Mike
Adlington Hall is a gem of a venue, and Hayley and Mike’s big day was the first time I’ve had the pleasure of shooting there, even though its only ten minutes down the road from me in Cheshire. The hall has been part of the Legh family for over 700 years, and to be surrounded by such architecture, paintings and history is an amazing wedding setting 🙂
In the morning I headed to Hayley and Mike’s home in Wilmslow, where Hayley was preparing for the big day with her parents and bridesmaids. It was a super relaxed atmosphere, with champagne flowing as the makeup artists and hairdressers worked away. I documented the anticipation and build up, before heading to Adlington Hall, where Mike was awaiting his bride.
The wedding ceremony was in the stunning great hall, and a beautiful ceremony it was! Afterwards I mingled with the guests as they enjoyed canapés and drinks, capturing the essence of the day. As the wedding breakfast approached, we all made our way over to the adjacent Hunting Lodge, Hayley and Mike being showered with confetti on the way 🙂
Hayley and Mike are hugely into sports,  both big runners they met at their local running club – Sale Harriers. The running theme was continued in the reception room with marathon table names and medals on display!  All very impressive, especially as my idea of running is a dash to the car when it is raining!
It was an absolute pleasure to be a part of the day. I’ll leave you with some Adlington Hall Wedding photographs, a few of my favourites, and words from Hayley and Mike…
“These are just superb. You’ve done such a great job. Thank you!”

Great work Adam, love that ceremony room!
Thanks Steve 🙂
Lovely images! Love the windows and the lighting in the ceremony room too!!
Good work Adam, love the one of the boy on the floor, great timing
You’ve managed to return yet another set of superb wedding photographs Adam, showing a great understanding of how using natural light can really create depth to an image – textures, contours, light and shade which you can almost feel, something I love in photography. However, it goes without saying that the standout image has to be the last! Maybe not one she’ll thank you for, but it made me smile at least 🙂
Ha ha – that one makes me smile too Neale 🙂 Thanks for the kind comments.
Fantastic! Those prep images are awesome! Great storytelling throughout.
More top drawer stuff Adam. Time after time you demonstrate the ability to foresee and catch the moment perfectly. Lovely processing on this set too. It does have a very filmic feel about it.
Lovely work as usual Adam. great use of light but also of shapes. I really enjoyed this and lovely colour work!
Great frames Adam! Top work as always….
Cracking work as ever Adam. Emotionally charged and full of atmosphere!
