Katja and Andy married this May at The Inn at Whitewell in Lancashire. One of my favourite wedding venues in the UK, it’s relaxed atmosphere and exceptional views over the Ribble Valley are superb. Katja, her bridesmaids and parents were preparing for the day at some nearby cottages. I arrived early in the morning to document the build up and  anticipation – Katja and the girls were buzzing with excitement and the morning flew by! I headed off to the picturesque St Michaels Whitewell Church, my car also loaded with the bridesmaids suitcases destined for the Inn…I have my uses 😉

A beuatiful ceremony, followed by drinks overlooking the Valley were enjoyed by all. I quietly mingled with guests and captured the atmosphere. Katja and Andy obviously enjoy a good party and had the awesome Paul McGuire of The Wedding Jam DJ-ing for the evening, the dancefloor was packed and it was the perfect way to end the celebrations. 

It was a pleasure to be a part of the day with these guys and their friends/family. Some of my favourite documentary wedding photography below.

After the 1st dance (and following bouquet toss), Andy surprised Katja with an awesome rendition of Mustang Sally!
