Wentworth Castle Wedding Photographer
Helen and Des are one of the nicest couples you could meet, when they asked me to document their wedding at Wentworth Castle Gardens in Yorkshire I couldn’t wait for it to come around. As usual I started the morning capturing Helen and her bridesmaids preparing for the big day, then we all headed down to Wentworth Castle for final preparations and then onto the ceremony at the gorgeous Long Barn.
Helen had put lots of work into the wedding and the level of detail was evident, with great touches everywhere. A huge marquee was erected outside the historic castle, and it looked stunning overlooking the Yorkshire countryside and beautiful building.
Being English summertime, the weather was not as we had hoped – with the rain a fairly constant presence. However this did not dampen spirits and all the guests had lots of fun (including bouncing around on space hoppers and playing lawn games in the rain!). I documented everyone enjoying themselves throughout the day – not interfering with events or interrupting with the flow.
After Mexican fajitas during the wedding breakfast – it was time for the speeches. The speeches were some of the funniest I’ve heard, and both Des and Helen looked like they wanted to hide under the table during the speeches by the best men and chief bridesmaid 🙂
The celebrations were topped off with a real good party, with a Beatles tribute band providing the backdrop for movers on the busy dance floor!
Some of my favourite images from the day are below. More images can be found on my facebook page, and guests can view all the images via the “client area” of my website. Please feel free to leave a comment….
